  • LEGO® 21061 – Notre Dame

    ‘The Master’ from Denmark…

Of course, ‘the master’ 😉 from Denmark cannot be missing from MBrickz: With LEGO® 21061 – Notre Dame, LEGO® brings another masterpiece from the Architecture series to the building table.
The iconic Parisian landmark has been impressively recreated in minute detail with 4,383 pieces and perfectly captures the charm of the real cathedral.

Challenging building experience for true architecture enthusiasts

Whether you’re a collector, architecture fan or simply a lover of building bricks, LEGO® 21061 Notre Dame offers a challenging building experience that rewards patience, precision and enthusiasm in equal measure.
In this review, I’ll show you how the set performs during construction, what highlights it offers and whether it’s actually worth buying.

    The price is steep

The price, however, is less appealing: in the LEGO® shop, it costs €229.99 – which is quite steep. Fortunately, the set is currently available at Smyths Toys for €172.99 €149.99 – which makes it feel much more affordable.

    Instructions with minor weaknesses

A minor setback during construction: the English instructions, with their dark background, are more suited to those with eagle eyes. However, the LEGO® Builder app offers a German version, which makes the whole process relaxed and enjoyable again.

    Conclusion:

A beautiful display set that shows why the Architecture series is so popular. The price and instructions cost it a few sympathy points – but the bottom line is that Notre Dame remains a real eye-catcher for the shelf and is therefore the MBrickz Set of the Month for October 2025.

    A highlight for pirate fans

With the Reobrix Black Pearl, the Chinese manufacturer has created a real highlight for pirate fans.
The huge sailing ship consists of over 4,300 pieces and impresses with countless details and an atmospheric look that immediately brings well-known films to mind.
The construction is challenging, but remains easy to follow thanks to well-organised bags and clear instructions.
In this review, I’ll show you how the Reobrix Black Pearl performs during construction, what sets it apart from other pirate ships – and whether it’s really worth the money.

    Stable, detailed and lovingly designed

The ‘66036 – Black Pearl’ set from Reobrix impresses with 4,304 pieces, sturdy construction and lots of lovely details. The instructions are clear, the bricks have good clamping force and are easy to assemble. The sails, cannons and superstructures in particular create an authentic pirate ship feel.

    More parts, half price

Compared to its counterpart released on 12 September 2025 (currently available from November 2025 for the average consumer… 🙄) from the major Danish manufacturer, the Reobrix model comes with around 1,600 more pieces – and at around half the price of approximately €180 (depending on the retailer). For this price, Reobrix even includes lighting, which further increases the added value.

    My trusted retailer

I would particularly like to praise BRICKZ, my trusted retailer, who delivered the set with express shipping faster than I could say ‘Black Pearl’.

    Conclusion:

A varied, sturdy and detailed build offering excellent value for money – ideal for fans of pirate ships and collectors, and the MBrickz Set of the Month for September 2025.

Unfortunately, one single, relatively insignificant part is missing, but it is missing nonetheless – so I am rating this set 4.8 out of 5 stars.
